Naz Football Plays for IHSA State Championship
Congratulations to the 2014 Varsity Football Team, players, coaches and parents for this outstanding and record-breaking season! The Roadrunners' quest to remain undefeated culminates in the 2014 IHSA 6A Football Championship Game at Memorial Stadium in Champaign on Saturday, November 29, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Congratulations again to our Varsity Football team, who have made Nazareth history, becoming the first team to advance as far as the Semi-Finals (Final Four)! Matthew Clark '16 Finishes 9th in State
Nazareth Academy congratulates Matthew Clark of Westchester who finished in 9th place overall in the IHSA Boy’s Golf State Tournament held at D.A. Weibring Golf Course on the campus of Illinois State University on October 17 & 18. Matthew was in 41st place after Friday’s first round 82, but followed it up with a one under par 70 on Saturday, earning him All State Honors!

Naz Celebrates Homecoming
Nazareth's Student Council led the way in planning an awesome Homecoming Week around the theme "Friday Night Lights: Naz Forever." Decorated hallways, country-western dress-down day and Name-That-“Country Song” Tune all got students in the right spirit.  The week culminated in an exciting Pep Rally, Naz's 40th annual WALK and, of course, the Homecoming game and dance.

National Merit Scholarship Program Commended Scholars
Congratulations Adeline Doyle, Meghan Sullivan and Charles Swarts, who were named Commended Scholars in the 2015 National Merit Scholarship Program. A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, was presented to these scholastically talented seniors.

Nazareth congratulates Dr. Tom Nelson, recipient of the 2014 Jack Wheeler Memorial Award for his endless dedication, generosity and efforts to support Nazareth Academy and its students, families and surrounding community. The award was presented at the annual Jack Wheeler Memorial Golf Outing at Edgewood Valley Country Club on Monday, September 22, 2014.

Christmas Choral Concert
Dec 09, 2014 – 
Christmas Choral Concert Nazareth Academy’s Concert Choir and Progressions ensemble will be performing contemporary and traditional songs of the season. Some of the selections included are: A La Nanita, Children Go Where I Send Thee, the “Glee” version of Let it Snow and Sara Bareilles’ Winter Song.

Naz WALK: One School, One Goal
On Friday, October 10, 2014, Nazareth students, faculty, staff and family members walked 3.5 miles, raising money for the school’s 2nd biggest fundraiser. The WALK takes students through the streets of La Grange Park, with adult volunteers stationed throughout for the safety of walkers and residents.

Science and Service
Each year the Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) Club partners with a different organization. EPICS is helping the MidAmerica Service Dog Foundation this year. On September 17, the club, as well as Dr. Zasadzinski’s AP Physics class welcome a representative of the foundation, Amy Pawlik, also a Nazareth alum ‘03, to speak to students.

Opening School Mass
On the morning of September 5, the entire 2014-2015 Nazareth student body, faculty and staff gathered together for the first time in the Congregation of St. Joseph Motherhouse Chapel to celebrate an Opening School Mass.

On August 21, 2014, Nazareth Academy joyfully welcomed students to the 2014-2015 School Year. The members of the Class of 2018 had already begun their Nazareth journey with a two-day Orientation earlier in the week.

Football program partners with Letters Project
Nazareth Academy takes great pride in educating the whole person, including student-athletes. Our teams come together in ways beyond practice and games – to grow as individuals in service to others. Earlier in July, Nazareth’s Varsity Football players joined together with Letters Project to brighten the lives of children who are struggling with developmental disabilities and/or terminal illnesses.
