Nazareth Academy

Academics

As a college prep high school, the curriculum of Nazareth Academy is geared to prepare all students for the college challenge.  Students take courses at any of three levels: college prep, honors, or Advanced Placement (AP).

Freshmen typically begin with algebra, English, foreign language, physics, religion, western civilization and physical education with fine arts electives.  Proficiency exams allow students who are accelerated in mathematics or language to begin at the sophomore level in those classes.

The science curriculum allows for a more current and cutting-edge study of biology with prerequisites of physics and chemistry.  Environmental Earth Science and AP courses complete the fourth year.

College level AP courses are offered in each academic area.  Students have successfully completed AP exams, earning college credit in thirteen areas.
