Nazareth Academy

Policy

Admission to the freshman class at Nazareth Academy is based primarily on the High School Placement Test (HSPT), given at Nazareth Academy on the second Saturday in January. A high school preadmission form with the student's seventh grade standardized test results and seventh and eighth grade report cards is also used to determine admission. Students must have graduated from eighth grade before beginning freshman year.

Nazareth Academy gives preferential acceptance to siblings of current and recent graduates, to children of active alumni, to students who are members of neighboring parishes, and to students who are Catholic. All prospective students must demonstrate an aptitude for the school's academic program.

Transfer students from other accredited high schools are admitted on a the basis of their transcripts. Students must have sufficient credits and a minimum 2.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Nazareth Academy does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, color, or national origin in admitting students.
