Empowering Students and Teachers
The iPad is our primary tool for academic excellence. This program offers significant savings on physical textbooks while opening doors to interactive digital curricula.
- Requirements: Students provide their own iPad (Standard, Air, or Pro) with a minimum of 128 GB storage.
- Required Accessories: A keyboard and stylus/Apple Pencil are required.
- Connectivity: Each student receives access to Nazareth’s secure, protected Wi-Fi network.
To ensure a focused learning environment, Nazareth uses Jamf School Mobile Device Management.
- Class-to-class Restrictions: During each period of the school day, teachers can tailor iPad use to specific apps and websites or enable functionality restrictions.
- Seamless Transition: Once class ends, restrictions are automatically lifted.
- Support: Our tech department uses Jamf to push updates, monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and install requested educational apps remotely.

The "Pre-Flight" Checklist
Before the first day of school, please ensure your iPad meets these requirements:
- Storage: Minimum 128 GB (required for digital textbooks and large project files).
- Accessories: Physical keyboard and stylus/Apple Pencil (essential for coursework).
- Battery: Capable of holding a charge for a full school day (7:55 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.).
- Software: Updated to the latest version of iPadOS.
Campus-wide Technology Integration and Policies
Beyond the iPads, students have access to specialized hardware across our campus:
- Media Center: 30 MacBook Air laptops for course and club work and a printing station.
- Computer Science Lab: 30 MacBook Air laptops, dedicated to programming and coding instruction.
- STEM Lab: 6 Mac mini desktops dedicated to setup and support of an assortment of six 3d printers and a Glowforge lasercutter in the STEM lab.
- Tutoring Center: Additional printing and research support.
- Smart Classrooms: Every room features Apple TV integration and high-definition projection.
Our "Responsible Use" policies foster a focused, respectful, and high-achieving classroom culture.
- Cell Phones: Phones must be placed in designated storage pockets upon entering any classroom. They are not permitted on the school Wi-Fi.
- Wearables: Smartwatches are permitted but subject to the same expectations as other devices.
- Audio: Headphones/earbuds are allowed during study halls but must be removed during class unless specified by a teacher.
- Responsible Use: All students are provided with and held accountable to a Responsible Use Policy (RUP) to guide their online behavior and ethics.
