Athletic Opportunities

At Nazareth Academy, we believe competition is a vital extension of the classroom. We offer 25 interscholastic sports, providing our student-athletes with year-round opportunities to develop their skills, teamwork and character.

We do not view athletics in isolation; rather, we integrate competition into Nazareth’s wider educational framework. We ensure that our students graduate not just as strong athletes, but as well-rounded young adults ready to make a positive impact on the world.

Goals and Responsibilities

Reduce the risk of injury through physical screening, conditioning programs and education.
Should an injury occur, be available for consultation, referrals to a qualified physician or specialist, and develop a treatment and rehabilitation program for the student-athlete.
Act as a liaison between the doctor, coach, parents and athlete to ensure that everyone has a full understanding of the capabilities or limitations the injury imposes.
Educate the student-athlete so that they understand their injury, responsibilities for rehabilitation, and the future implications for participation.
Determine the safe and appropriate timing of injured athlete's return to their sport.
