Nazareth Academy recently celebrated the exceptional community service and leadership of its junior and senior students. Guided by the school's Pillar of Service, these students have demonstrated a profound commitment to compassion and positive community impact through several prestigious programs and awards.
WSCCI Youth Service Award
Roxanne Stasch ’26 was honored with the 2025 West Suburban Chamber of Commerce and Industry Youth Service Award.
- The Honor: This award is reserved for young leaders who inspire others and effect significant positive change.
- The Recognition: During the award presentation, Mrs. Cathay Kokontis described Stasch as a "powerhouse" known for her intellect, hard work, and dedication to fairness.

Young Community Changemakers (YC2)
A record number of Nazareth students have been selected for the 2025-26 YC2 leadership development program.
- The Mission: Run by the Community Memorial Foundation, YC2 empowers the next generation of philanthropists.
- The Curriculum: Students explore local social needs, study philanthropic theory, and participate in grantmaking and organizational evaluation.
- The Participants: Samantha Austin, Sarah Ball, Meghan Belling, Miranda Carrasco, Cashmere Coleman, Sofia Cuate, Ana Djurasovic, Robert Finn, Lucy Jucovics, Ashley Kenna, Lucas Lopez, Molly Moore, Peyton Pena, Diana Perez, Alyssa Salgado, Charlie van Alphen, Damian Vega, and Lucas Weber.
Cook County Sheriff’s Commitment to Service Award
This award recognizes juniors and seniors living in Cook County who have completed at least 100 hours of voluntary community service.
