Standing Ovation! Gavin Claster ’29 Cast in IHSTF All-State Production of Something Rotten!

Take a bow, Gavin Claster ’29! Gavin has been cast in the lead role of Nostradamus in the upcoming Illinois High School Theatre Festival (IHSTF) All-State production of Something Rotten!

Earning a spot in an IHSTF All-State show is one of the highest honors a high school theatre student in Illinois can achieve. Gavin’s journey began with auditions in early June, followed by rigorous invited callbacks in July. The selection process was exceptionally competitive, bringing together elite student performers from over 80 different high schools across the state.

As Nostradamus, Gavin will join the cast and crew for five intensive rehearsal weekends throughout the fall, bringing the full-scale musical to life before an audience of over 4,000 theatre students, teachers, and artists.

Performances will take place January 7-9, 2027, during the Illinois High School Theatre Festival at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
